About 6th World Ayurveda Congress and AROGYA Expo

Until now five editions of the Congress have been organised at Cochin, Pune, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Bhopal. The highest number of delegates, numbering more than 4200 attended the WAC at Bengaluru. The largest number of visitors who participated in the AROGYA Expo was at Pune where more than 500,000 individuals took advantage of the Forum. The highest number of foreign delegates numbering 264 attended the Bengaluru Congress., World Ayurveda Foundation now plans to hold the 6th edition of the Congress at Delhi in Pragati Maidan from 6th to 9th November 2014,when it is expected that the number of delegates and visitors would double the Bengaluru experience. In keeping with the past practice, it is proposed to hold four plenary sessions, 25 parallel sessions as well as providing scope for poster presentations. The associated events which are being planned include a Seminar on Medicinal Plants, a business meet coordinated by Pharmexil, an Editors Conclave, and international Delegates Assembly and a Guru shishya meet.

Pharmexcil's International Buyer Seller Meet:

PHARMEXCIL (Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council), is a body set up by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India in the year 2004. The Council is the designated authority for the export promotion of Drugs & Pharmaceuticals, Ayurveda & Herbal Drug preparations/products globally. The Council’s core functions/services to the members include conducting Seminars & workshops through out India, taking delegations worldwide, participating in trade fairs and exhibitions, and making representations to the Government on policy issues related to Pharma exports.

Following the success of earlier Buyer Seller Meets at “International Arogya”, 4th World Ayurveda Congress, 5th World Ayurveda Congress and 7th Nutra Summit at Bangalore, Pharmexcil is supporting the AYUSH sector in 2014 by partnering “6th World Ayurveda Congress” organized by Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), a mega event for the Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy sector scheduled from 6th -9th November 2014 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
With this gaining popularity and ongoing demand, Pharmexcil with the support of Department of Commerce takes this opportunity to organize exclusive Buyer Seller Meet and Technical Sessions with Regulatory officials during the event as per the following details,

Buyer-Seller Meetings: (7th -8th November 2014)

We have invited around 40 potential importers/ TRADERS/ Food & Drug Regulators/Associations/Consultants from the important export destinations dealing with Ayurveda, Herbal products & Dietary Supplements / Nutraceuticals / Herbal Extracts / Phytochemicals to participate/interact/trade with the Indian Industry.  During 7th-8th November 2014, we would be organising One-to-One business Meetings among the foreign delegates and Indian delegates.

The Council is also proposing to provide (subject to approval by the Government) travel and accommodation to the selected invitees basing on their expertise/trade/Company profile.

Pharmexcil (Exporters) Pavilion in Arogya Expo (6-9th November 2014):

As mentioned in the previous circular, we have taken a space of 128 Sqmtrs and organising the Exporters Pavilion at Arogya Expo scheduled to be held during 6-9th November 2014 at New Delhi, India.The details of Arogya Expo layout and Exporters Pavilion are linked below for your information.

1. Arogya Layout: Stall No:12 (128 Sqmtrs)
2. Pharmexcil Layout(P1 to P10) (P3 and P8 are 6 Sqmtr stalls and rest all are 9 Sqmtrs booths)
3. Per Sqmtr Cost: Rs.8,500+Service Tax of 12.36%

Note: Exhibitors are entitled for reimbursement of applicable subsidy from Department of Ayush as per IEC Scheme. The scheme can be availed by all the Ayush Sector Stakeholders.
