A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO ENTER / EXPAND / PROMOTE BUSINESS

Dear Member,

Sub: African Delegation to Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya 28th March – 10th April 2010

We are having pleasure in informing you that Pharmexcil is mounting a trade delegation to Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya during 28th March – 10th April 2010 as part of the Brand India promotion under the MAI Scheme of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.

As a part of Brand Promotion of Indian Pharmaceuticals, there would be exhibition-cum- conference-cum-BSM in all these countries. A fully constructed stall/display area for display of products with one table, two chairs and basic electricity will be provided FREE OF COST to the delegates. However, due to limited number of stalls, the same would be provided strictly ON FIRST-COME-FIRST SERVED BASIS ONLY.

Local doctors, leading NGOs, reputed media & press, Health Ministry Officials etc would be invited in the respective countries. We also propose to invite our officials from Drugs Control Department, Commerce Ministry Officials etc to accompany/actively participate in this delegation.

The following countries (tentative) would be covered as per the following programme:

1. The delegation is likely to include regulatory and key senior officials from Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Health besides, representatives from industries/ associations etc.

2. The delegation will carry out the following activities:

Ø Participate in the Conference where reputed NGOs, Doctors, Medical Professionals, Media representatives, Ministry of Health Officials etc on India-Africa Business meet organized by Indian High Commission
Ø Participate in Buyer Sellers Meet in all countries.
Ø Meet top level officials/ dignitaries like
§ Trade and Commerce Ministers,
§ Health Ministers,
§ Head of the Departments of Public Health,
§ Regulatory officials (MCC)
§ Representatives of local non-governmental institutions (NGOs) and industry etc.

The meetings would be coordinated and organized through our High Commissions. We also intend to use the services of professionals in these countries to organize & coordinate the activities for better participation.

4. Members participating in this delegation may kindly note the following important information:

Ø Since this activity is under MAI scheme of the Government of India, members participating in this delegation would not be eligible for MDA reimbursement, which may please be noted. Hence, Council would be providing appropriate stall/display area FREE OF COST as an incentive and to promote their brands in the markets to the members. Ø Accommodation will be arranged by the Council on the basis of recommendation of our Missions abroad (Hotel tariffs will be informed shortly).

Ø Cost towards Airfare would be around Rs.60,000/- (tentatively) which is subject to the class of seat available in economy class at the time of booking of tickets and hotel charges would be around USD 100 to USD 150 per day on twin sharing basis.

Ø Interested members may send their Company Profile along with the name of the delegate.
Ø Other details like venue etc will be communicated to interested members in due course.

5. Participation fees:
The delegation fees for the delegation to Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania would be Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-Five Only)

There would also be exhibitions-cum-BSM organized in 3(three) countries,. The stall charges for the Indian delegate would be FREE.
The fees paid by the delegates will be refunded only in case of change in schedule or cancellation of the delegation by the Council (upon the advice of our Mission).

6. We would request you to kindly confirm your participation by sending us the completed delegation application form (Enclosed) along with a non-refundable commitment fee of Rs.25,000/-.

Your application along with the requisite participation fees must reach to any of our Council’s Offices within 7(seven) days but in any case not later than 10th March 2010.
