Sub: Delegation to Korea from 23rd or 24th March 2010.

We are pleased to inform members that our council has received a communication from Department of Commerce informing that Embassy of India, Seoul under the leadership of Shri C. Raja Sekhar, Minister (Pol & Eco) is organizing a promotional event for the Indian Pharmaceutical sector at Seoul on 23 or 24 of March 2010.

As you might be aware the India-ROK Bilateral Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) has come into force from 01 January, 2010.

Representatives from Korean Pharma industry, officials from the Regulatory Authorities and Korean Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association are attending the event. The salient feature of the event is participation of The Korean Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Korean Importers Association (whose mandate is to promote import from right sources into Korea).

In this context he has requested participation from the Indian Pharmaceutical industry for this important event. Pharmexcil is proposing to take a small delegation of Pharma exporters. Members who have their business operations in South Korea are also welcome.
