| To All the Members of Council, Dear Member, Sub: REVISED:- Business Delegation to Brazil, Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia during 28th March – 12th April 2010 This is further to our circular dated 10th Feb 2010. We are happy to inform our members that in response to the earlier circulars already about 18 members have registered. In view of the advice from Embassy of India in Argentina, which looks after Uruguay as well, we would like to inform that delegation to Uruguay will not be possible and we are replacing this with Bolivia. Now the delegation is planned for Brazil, Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia. However, it is important to note that proposed delegation is subject to confirmations from our Missions in these countries. The delegation is proposed to these countries as an approved activity under the MDA activity of the Council. The export figures of these 4(four) countries from India for the last three years are given below for your kind information and to assess the export potential in these countries. Rs. The BSMs/Delegation visits will be organized at select locations in Brazil, Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia. Following are the points, which may please be noted: - Cost towards Airfare would be around Rs. 1,60,000/- subject to the class of seat available in economy class at the time of booking of tickets and hotel charges would be around USD 100 to USD 150per day per person on twin sharing basis.
- Members whose export turnover during previous year is less than Rs.15.00 crores are eligible for MDA subject to the other guidelines of MDA scheme. In this case, 100% economy class excursion airfare will be reimbursed, subject to a maximum of Rs.1 lakh per member.
- Interested members may send their Company Profile along with the name of the delegates & other details as per Application form enclosed.
- Other details like venue etc will be communicated to interested members in due course.
- Members participating in this delegation may kindly note the following important information:
Ø BSMs will be held at Sao Paulo, Caracas, Lima and La Paz as per the advice of our Embassies in each of these countries. Ø Accommodation will be arranged by the Council on the basis of recommendation of our Missions abroad (Hotel tariffs will be informed shortly).
